Week 25

Baby Price is now 13 inches long and weighs anywhere from 1½ to 1¾ pounds
About her:While it does not appear that your baby is that big, she is slowly gaining some baby fat, making her appearance less wrinkled. If your baby has hair, the color and texture could be seen at this point. However, it can change after the baby is born.
Lisa: Feeling lots of movement, mostly after meals, tired, I need more sleep. Loving how the nursery is coming together and all the cute girl cloths people are getting us she will certainly have a wardrobe! Had a blast at my first baby shower! Here are some pictures.
Shawn: Helping lots to finish the nursery, hung a shelf that is 100% level! Thanks for all your hard work babe! Gave the ok to get a lazy boy this week yeah!

Lisa at 4 months

Apparently I didn't like pants and I enjoyed angry pooh bears and afghans. This might be what our little girl will look like! I think she will be really cute!

Week 24: Poppen corn

Over 12 ½ inches long and weighs 1¼ to 1½ pounds.

Baby Girl: her brain is growing rapidly at this time. Taste buds are also developing, and the lungs are becoming more developed and complex. The branches of the main lung are beginning to form as well as special cells that will produce surfactant. Surfactant is necessary for the air sacs to inflate easily. Babies who are born prematurely often have trouble breathing because these cells have not had enough time to develop or are not producing the necessary amounts of surfactant.

Lisa: Ikea Ikea Ikea! I love Ikea! We got so much great stuff there for a good price and it all fit in the Vue, I'm glad we have that car. Baby Price is moving so much more this week she likes when I eat. I've been tired and headaches but to be expected. I'm going to interview Dr.Wheeler today in Zionsville to be our pediatrician so we'll see what the office is like, and how they answer all my questions. Seeing Dr. Flora this Thursday for a check up should be a quick one, but looking forward to hearing the heart beat again. Took back the 2nd hand chair and looking at getting a new one this week, maybe Tuesday, the nursery is really coming together, I'll post some pics when it is more arranged. My mom is going to buy our crib, so I need to register her at target this week so she can get a $20 gift card. I read this weekend that even if she is born now she will likely survive with prenatal care so that is a big relief, not that I'm planning on going into labor any time soon.

Shawn: Had a good time in MI this weekend, visiting friends and family and seeing the ipad for the first time at Best Buy. I wonder how long it will take him to buy one? He put together lots of Ikea furniture last night and did a great job! He think Lisa loves Ikea more then she loves me.

What Shawn saw on the way home from MI even thougth I couldn't put my seat down, because of the Ikea bounty, I still accomplished my goal of sleeping. Thanks for not throwing anything in my mouth babe.

Week 23: Mango on the go-go

Baby Price has finally reached a weight of 1 pound and is approximately 11-14 inches long.

She is continuing to gain weight, but the next several weeks will be when she really begins to fill out. Lanugo, or the fine hair that covers your baby’s body, may darken at this point allowing it to be seen on an ultrasound. Baby is also beginning to look more like it will at birth. (just like mom)

Lisa: I saw her move through my belly on Saturday! It was awesome, I'm sure Shawn will get to feel her this week right? I hope so. She likes to move around after meals so I'm hoping that means she likes what I eat. I looked at the changing table last week and it is was not in very good shape so it was not worth the $ they wanted for it, so I'll keep looking. I had a really amazing spiritual experience this weekend called Wise Women, in Tennessee I'm sill processing it but wow; God revealed some really cool things to me.

Shawn: had a busy weekend without Lisa, but missed her very much, he brought Josie flowers and a balloon for her birthday so sweet! He will be a great daddy for a little girl and he finished painting the nursery, and it looks amazing! Can't wait to get some furniture in there. We talked about where we would put things it was very fun! We are visiting Shawn's family for Easter in MI and will go to Ikea to get some furniture for the room.

Update: Monday evening Shawn felt her move for the first time! He leaned over to the belly and said I love you little girl; it was so sweet it makes me cry.

Week 22: Squish Squash

Baby Girl Price: Almost 10 inches long and weighs a whole 14 ounces. She has pretty much taken on the form of a newborn baby, but is incredibly small. Much development will continue to occur over the next 18 weeks. Her skin appears wrinkly, but this is because she has not yet gained enough weight to fill the skin out. The lips are becoming more distinct. The eyes have completely formed, but the iris (the colored portion of the eye) still lacks pigment. The eyelids and eyebrows are in place, and the pancreas is continuing to mature.

Lisa: Oh baby, loving feeling you move every day, you liked when I put some music on my belly Sunday am, well at least I hope you liked it; you moved a lot. Maybe you will be a dancer!

I'm looking at a pottery barn changing table this week here is a photo. It retails for $350 so we will see if the seller who wants $150 (talked down from $200, go me!) has kept it in good condition. Also another leap and bound for the nursery... Paint color!!!! I got Sherwin Williams 7557 "Summer White" it is more of a cream white with yellow undertone. I'm hoping it doesn't go on the wall too yellow. I got a good deal on some diapers this weekend at Baby's R us it was fun to go with Lisa Brown and get her mom of girl tips.

Shawn: Using baby's name more when talking about and and to her. Found the headphones for mom so baby girl could listen to some music. We have to wait till we have some good weather to paint the nursery so we can open up the windows, but we moved everything out so we could paint. Looking forward to feeling her move have been a bit jealous that only mom gets to feel that right now.

Week 21: What's Up Doc?

Baby Girl Price: Now your baby’s length is measured from crown to heel (CHL).Your baby has grown to over 8 ½ inches long and weighs about 12 ounces.*

Her eyelids have finished forming this week, and she is very busy moving around and swallowing amniotic fluid. You most likely have felt your baby move by this time and have realized that she is not necessarily on the same schedule that you are. As your baby swallows amniotic fluid, her digestive tract is continuing to mature. Your baby is also receiving some of the caloric intake from the amniotic fluid. If your baby is a little girl, then her vagina has fully formed but will continue to develop until her birth.
Lisa: Feeling great, gained another 2lb this week, yikes, I'm shooting for 1lb a week but she will grow as she sees fit. The Dr is good with my weight gain so far so that's good. Dr. Flora said she was very happy with how she was developing and to keep doing what I'm doing. They did want to keep an eye on one of her kidneys because it was hard to see so pray for her kidney, but I'm not stressing about it. I'm feeling her move so much and loving it, I'm sure I will get sick of it when she kicks me in the bladder.
Shawn: Lisa got a crap in my calf this weekend and woke Shawn up at 4am, he could not get back to sleep so that is a really bad sign for him, I hope he gets better at falling back to sleep during the night, he didn't seem to mind, but Lisa felt bad. It was awesome to spend a great date day with one another on Sunday, watching movies, talking, going to lunch. I love my husband! I hope we will still get to go on dates after July.
