Week 27

Baby is now 13 ¾ inches long and weighs 2¼ pounds
Baby Price: Around week 11 your baby’s eye lids became fused, but around the 27th to 28th week babies can open and close their eyes. Your baby has also developed a regular wake and sleep cycle. Unfortunately, it may not be the same as yours. You may also begin to feel rhythmic movements in your uterus and wonder what is going on. It is likely that your baby is experiencing a case of the hiccups. This is completely normal and may occur quite frequently during this last part of your pregnancy as your baby’s lungs continue to mature.
Mommy Price: Developed a bit of a cold yesterday, so lots of fluids, and rest. Our first childbirth class was very enlightening, learned alot about labor, I'm sure it will be alot different for real though; I'm very glad we have a Doula. Finally got a celling fan for the baby room, Chris is going to help us install it that will save us about $200! Thanks! We are going to order a crib this week so looking forward to seeing that all set up, thanks Grandma Wendy! I got to see Nicole get baptized at Campus House this weekend, so awesome! I love Jesus.
DaddyPrice: Experiencing lots of mouth pain lately from last trip to the dentist. Excited to get the crib and chair soon so the nursery will be all together. Was awesome back rubber at child birth class.

Week 26: Cool Cucumber

Baby is approximately 13.38 inches long and weighs 2 pounds.

Baby Price: The development that is occurring at this stage may seem small and insignificant, but it is very important as your baby begins to prepare for her entry into the world. The nerves in the ears are developing and allowing your baby to respond more consistently to the sounds that she hears. Your baby is also continuing to swallow amniotic fluid which is causing her lungs to develop.

Lisa: Had a really nice weekend, made some baby quilts for the Crispin Twin boys, went to a few get together, looked at recliners again, getting closer to finding one probably first week of May or so. Really looking forward to our childbirth classes this weekend! Hope they don't freak me out too much. I'm feeling lots of movement from cool cucumber. If she only weights 2lbs I know where the rest of the weight went, my boobs! I must get some new bras, they are hurting so much. Been asking more people about their breastfeeding experiences and reading up on it. I pray that she is good at it, and that I can get through the pain of the first 2-3 weeks. I'm doing some research to see if eating peanuts will give your child an allergy or help your child not to have one. ( I think I will avoid them for now)
Tomorrow (Tuesday) will mark 100 day left of pregnancy, so Wednesday we will be in double digits!

Shawn: He is a master at upholstery check out these amazing frames he nailed fabric to...
(this is his favorite one)
The nursery is really starting to come together, thanks to daddy! The crib is still not on sale! Target and their sneaky price raising.

Week 25

Baby Price is now 13 inches long and weighs anywhere from 1½ to 1¾ pounds
About her:While it does not appear that your baby is that big, she is slowly gaining some baby fat, making her appearance less wrinkled. If your baby has hair, the color and texture could be seen at this point. However, it can change after the baby is born.
Lisa: Feeling lots of movement, mostly after meals, tired, I need more sleep. Loving how the nursery is coming together and all the cute girl cloths people are getting us she will certainly have a wardrobe! Had a blast at my first baby shower! Here are some pictures.
Shawn: Helping lots to finish the nursery, hung a shelf that is 100% level! Thanks for all your hard work babe! Gave the ok to get a lazy boy this week yeah!

Lisa at 4 months

Apparently I didn't like pants and I enjoyed angry pooh bears and afghans. This might be what our little girl will look like! I think she will be really cute!

Week 24: Poppen corn

Over 12 ½ inches long and weighs 1¼ to 1½ pounds.

Baby Girl: her brain is growing rapidly at this time. Taste buds are also developing, and the lungs are becoming more developed and complex. The branches of the main lung are beginning to form as well as special cells that will produce surfactant. Surfactant is necessary for the air sacs to inflate easily. Babies who are born prematurely often have trouble breathing because these cells have not had enough time to develop or are not producing the necessary amounts of surfactant.

Lisa: Ikea Ikea Ikea! I love Ikea! We got so much great stuff there for a good price and it all fit in the Vue, I'm glad we have that car. Baby Price is moving so much more this week she likes when I eat. I've been tired and headaches but to be expected. I'm going to interview Dr.Wheeler today in Zionsville to be our pediatrician so we'll see what the office is like, and how they answer all my questions. Seeing Dr. Flora this Thursday for a check up should be a quick one, but looking forward to hearing the heart beat again. Took back the 2nd hand chair and looking at getting a new one this week, maybe Tuesday, the nursery is really coming together, I'll post some pics when it is more arranged. My mom is going to buy our crib, so I need to register her at target this week so she can get a $20 gift card. I read this weekend that even if she is born now she will likely survive with prenatal care so that is a big relief, not that I'm planning on going into labor any time soon.

Shawn: Had a good time in MI this weekend, visiting friends and family and seeing the ipad for the first time at Best Buy. I wonder how long it will take him to buy one? He put together lots of Ikea furniture last night and did a great job! He think Lisa loves Ikea more then she loves me.

What Shawn saw on the way home from MI even thougth I couldn't put my seat down, because of the Ikea bounty, I still accomplished my goal of sleeping. Thanks for not throwing anything in my mouth babe.
